1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
I think that my favorite vacation location is Waiwera, in New Zealand a thermal spa resort, where I was last year my parents and with a couple of friends of my parents. My father and my little sister, who inherited the medical problems from my father, and they need to go every year to a thermal spa, and they used to go at the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua, another famous resort city in New Zealand. I never was with them because I stayed at home or gone in other places, but last year when they changed the location I decided to go with them and because my little sister wanted me to go with her. My parents found out of this location from some foreigners who came at Rotorua and they told that are more content of the accommodation and conditions from Waiwera so they were curious and when they returned home they asked me to search on the internet and they was amazed like I was and after this we all decided to plan that trip.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled with my family, my little sister and some family friends with their children, so I think that all together we were 9 persons. I was lucky because in that other family it was a boy one year older than me so I had to whom pass the time and have some fun, because there were a lot of grandparents and children so I was happy that he was with me.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I did not spend so much time searching for the informations because from the internet I gathered all I needed to know and two weeks earlier before we wanted to go in vacation we went to a travel agency and they gave us the informations that we didn’t had and made there the reservations for all of us.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
There were so many things that I liked there, the first one was the sightseeing, we stayed at Waiwera Holiday Park which is situated right on the beach front of the Waiwera, which warmly nestled between bush covered cliffs and a safe sandy beach, and Waiwera Holiday Park offers beach front camping with spectacular view of the Hauraki Gulf. And I must say that this view was indescribable and I think that I will never forget it.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
I think that the bad side of this vacation was that here there were so many old people and many children, hopefully that there were some play areas for children and there they stayed most of the time.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
Yes we had everything we needed, all was comfortable and the conditions were great so I have nothing to complain.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
I had with me only my digital camera ,an Olympus D460, so there it was my best friend because I made a lot of photos.
8. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
Everyone was so nice with us treated us all with respect and they were also very gentile and warm, they made really a good impression. When we needed some guiding they were very helpful and among them I must say that I felt great.
9. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
We didn’t not had any medical problems but we stayed and went to the thermal spa to bath , but we had there a lot of things to do if we wanted, for example we played golf because there were areas special arranged for mini golf, for basketball and volleyball. We also could go to swim because the reef was very big, we could also go with a guide to visit the surroundings including a scuba-diving lesson in the reef. All was perfect and I can not describe in words how good I felt there , it was like I was in paradise.
10. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
I visited only the city, cafes and restaurants, but not the historical part of the town but I visited the surroundings of the Waiwera, I saw the gulf and the outlying islands and I think that there I revived my tired body and soul because when I arrived home I felt like I was born again.
11. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
My other recommendation to the public is my country Switzerland and all its beauties.
